Application: For obtaining microbial plate counts from milk and dairy products

Preparation

  • Shake the container well to homogenize the powder. Weigh 20 grams of the powder and dissolve it in 1 liter of distilled cold water. Let the powder be exposed to water for 15 minutes.
  • Transfer the container containing the medium to a cold water bath and gently heat it. During this time, the container should be under shaking and agitation to dissolve completely.
  • Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
  • Allow the medium to cool down and perform the Pour Plate method for culturing the samples.

STORAGE

Store dehydrated medium below 30 °C and prepared medium at 2-8 °C. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
