Application: Use 1% TTC (iS47082) solution for the isolation and counting of fecal streptococci.

Preparation

  • Shake the container well to homogenize the powder. Suspend 76.4 g in 1 L of distilled water.
  • Bring to the boil with frequent agitation. Boil for 5 minutes (or autoclave 10 min at 121°C, if total selectivity is required).
  • DO NOT OVERHEAT.
  • Aseptically add 10 mL of TTC solution 1% Add 10 milliliters of 1% TTC solution (iS47082) under sterile conditions. Mix well.
  • Culture the test samples using the Pour Plate method.

 

STORAGE:

Store dehydrated medium below 30 °C and prepared medium at 2-8 °C. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
