Preparation
- Add 5 mL of sterile distilled water to the vial. Mix gently until it is completely dissolved.
- Using a filter to sterilize it.
- In sterile conditions, add the supplement to 475 milliliters of sterile cooled Wilkins-Chalgren Anaerobe agar (i23463) culture medium at 50 degrees Celsius.
- Please add 25 milliliters of defibrinated blood to the medium.
- Mix well and pour into sterile petri dishes.
Note
- The Wilkins-Chalgren Anaerobe agar (i23463) is recommended for this purpose, but Columbia Blood Agar (i23045) and Blood Agar Base No. 2 (i23467) media are also suitable.
STORAGE:
- Keep away from light.
- -20 degree Celsius.
