Vial TBC Test Kit

Application: Identification and counting of total bacteria in liquids.

Catalog Number: AV-B704.

توضیحات

MicrobCheckTM TBC vials have a nutrient-rich agar medium (in shades of light to dark yellow) with a specific formulation for bacterial growth. Using these vials, counting the total number of aerobic microorganisms in a liquid sample is easily possible. A specific indicator present in the culture medium of these vials causes the colonies to change color from white to red, making counting easier.

Expiration Date: 6 months after production.

Storage conditions: Store at 4-8 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight, and prevent vials from freezing.

Test

Method: Draw one milliliter of the desired sample using a sterile syringe and inject it into the vial. Then place the vial horizontally so that the part containing the culture medium is at the bottom. Approximately 30 seconds should be allowed, then remove the excess solution from the vial using a syringe.

Incubation: Depending on the type of microorganisms under investigation, the heating temperature will be different. For example

  • Environmental microorganisms at 25-30 degrees Celsius for 24-48 hours;
  • Human body microorganisms require incubation at a temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius for 24-48 hours.

If the test result is negative after the incubation period, continue incubation for one more day.

Important note: The vials must be autoclaved after use. You can also immerse the vials in a 10% bleach solution and leave them for 24 hours with the cap open after use.

Expected results Organism
Good growth, red colonies
E. coli
Good growth, red colonies
Salmonella Enterica
Good growth, red colonies
Streptococcus pyogenes
