The MicrobCheckTM S/P slides have a specialized rich culture medium for Pseudomonas with a unique formulation on one side and a rich specialized culture medium for Staphylococcus with a unique formulation on the other side. By using these slides, the presence of Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus in a sample can be easily determined and identified. This specialized kit creates black colonies on the slide if Staphylococcus is present in the sample. While the presence of Pseudomonas on the specific medium on the other side of the slide is detectable by colonies with a yellow-green tint.
Kit specifications: The surface under investigation on each slide is 8 square centimeters.
Expiration date: 6 months after production
Storage conditions: Stored at 8-4 degrees Celsius away from direct sunlight and prevent slides from freezing.

Test
Liquid sampling: After removing the slide from the sterile Falcon, immerse it into the liquid under investigation. Then remove the slide and gently shake it to remove any excess liquid from the slide surface. Afterwards, return the slide back into the Falcon tube and close the tube tightly.
Surface sampling: Remove the slide from the sterile falcon and place it in direct contact with the surface under investigation. The contact between the two surfaces should be in a way that the agar medium of the slide is completely in contact with the surface under examination to achieve the maximum bacterial growth.
Incubation: If a complete microbial count is required, incubate the slide at a temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius for 24-48 hours.
Important note: Slides must be autoclaved or incinerated after use. It is also possible to immerse them in a 10% bleach solution for 24 hours.
