Preparation

  • Shake the container of Liver Infusion agar well.
  • Suspend 55 grams of the powder in one liter of distilled water.
  • Mix well.
  • Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

STORAGE

The medium powder should be kept tightly closed and stored at temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and the medium should be stored at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.

  • Prepared Appearance: Amber, slightly opalescent.
  • Cultural characteristics were observed after incubation at 35 ± 2°C for 24 – 48 hours (anaerobic condition for Clostridium species).
