Preparation
- Shake the container of Muller Kauffmann Tetrathionate-Novobiocin Broth well.
- Suspend 89.5g of MKTTn in 1 litre of distilled water, mix well and
- bring to the boil.
- Cool to below 45°C. Immediately before use add 20ml of iodine-iodide solution
- prepared by dissolving 25 g of potassium iodide in 10ml of water, adding 20 g of iodine and then diluting to 100ml with sterile water.
- Do not autoclave the medium.
STORAGE
The medium powder should be kept tightly closed and stored at temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and the medium should be stored at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
