Preparation

  • Shake the container well to homogenize the powder. Suspend 43 grams in 100ml distilled water.
  • Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely.
  • Adjust pH to 5.5 ± 0.2 using HCl solution.
  • Steam the medium for 30 minutes.
  • DO NOT AUTOCLAVE.

STORAGE

Store dehydrated medium below 30 °C and prepared medium at 2-8 °C. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.

More biochemical and serological tests are needed for identification.
Some organisms may have little growth due to the variety and difference of nutrients.
Some organisms have different requirements for growth and may be observed with different growth patterns.
