Application: Used with PALCAM Selective Supplement for the selective cultivation, isolation and differentiation of Listeria monocytogenes and other Listeria species from food and other samples.

Preparation

  • Shake the container of PALCAM Agar well.
  • Suspend 71.88 g of the powder of the medium in 990 mL of purified water. Mix well.
  • Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
  • Cool to 45 – 50°C.
  • Aseptically add 10 mL of sterile PALCAM selective supplement.

STORAGE

The medium powder should be kept tightly closed and stored at temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and the medium should be stored at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
