Preparation
- Shake the container well. Dissolve 39 grams of the medium in 1 liter of distilled water.
- Boil until it is completely dissolved.
- Autoclave at 121 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
- If the desired pH is acidic (pH 3.5), after cooling the medium, add about 10-15 ml of 10% tartaric acid solution to 1 liter of the culture medium.
- Note that after adding acid to the culture medium, do not heat it, as this can lead to the breakdown of agar and the loss of its gelatinous properties.
STORAGE
The medium powder should be kept tightly closed and stored at temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and the medium should be stored at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
