Preparation

  • Shake the container of Sabouraud Dextrose Broth well.
  • Suspend 30 g of the powder in 1 L of purified water.
  • Mix well.
  • Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

STORAGE

The medium powder should be kept tightly closed and stored at temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and the medium should be stored at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.

  • Dehydrated Appearance: Light beige, free-flowing, homogeneous.
  • Prepared Appearance: Light amber, clear.
  • Inoculate tubes and incubate at 30 ± 2°C for 18 – 48 hours or up to 7 days if necessary. For (**) culture inoculate a 125 mL bottle and incubate at 30 – 35°C for 48 hours. For (***) culture inoculate a 125 mL bottle and incubate at 20-25°C for 3 days.
